Get Out There and Just Start
For everyone that's watching this, right, you're watching this, there's no accident that you're watching this, there's no accident that you click on this video, that you click on this link, that you're in this community, that somehow somewhere someone shared this with you, right? It probably means that you have an inkling inside of you that there is something deeper for you to do, there is something that you want to share with the world, something you want to create. The only advice, and the only advice there should be to this, is for you to start, is for you to do it aimlessly, you don't know what you're doing, perfect, get out into the marketplace and start. Oh my god, Jay, I have all these fears, I don't know if I'm going to sound great, I don't know if I'm good enough, perfect, just get out, just do it, talk about that, talk about how you don't think you're good enough, talk about how you think you have a silly voice, talk about how you don't know what your messaging is, and start documenting rather than trying to create the best content, the best program, the best of anything, because when you are in inaction, you're not in the game, and even though people want to help you, they can't help you, the reason being is that when you're in the game, you have what's called a little bit of momentum. You're in motion, right, you need to be in motion before you ask for the next things. Because when you're in motion, you're asking better questions, you're asking, how do I get more people to come to my event, how do I get more people to watch my videos, how do I get more people into my communities? These are way better questions than some of the earlier ones that we just listed off, right, and when you're in motion, you start seeing other people in motion. When you're in motion you start to ask significantly better questions. You ask, how do I get more people that are liking this, how do I get more people that are in this community, how do I get more people involved, how do I get more people supporting me? And those are way better questions than what I just asked earlier in this clip, so you have to be able to tap into that, you have to be able to be in motion to begin it.

Dealing with Anxiety & Depression
You Don’t Want to Lose the Fear
I remember doing an interview once and the first question they asked was, “When was the last time you experienced anxiety?” When I first started as a speaker, I talked about how if we can overcome fear, we win. I’ve come to realize you actually don’t want to take out the fear. You lose the healthy, human paranoia. #anxiety #fear #beinghuman #humanexperience

Breathe With Your Whole Body
Anytime I’m lost and everything seems to be crumbling down, I focus back on breathing. It begins with breath. The Wim Hof method is a program about how to breathe properly. A lot of us don’t actually breathe with our whole body. If I can control my breathing, I can figure out the next step. #harmony #balance #peace

Finding & Defining Love
Seeking Love Is Like Trying to Control Water
Wayne Dyer wrote a story comparing the search for love, success, or your goals to water. When you try to control the stream of water, it won’t work. You come to realize you can only experience the water. When it comes to love or success, we have to experience those things first so we can be in the same alignment and frequency as them. #findinglove #love #goal

Good, Evil & Drawing the Line
How Do You Choose to Leave a Mark?
Similar to The Star Wars analogy of using our power for good, we all have gifts that we can tap into, helping others in turn. At the same time, you can use your talents for the wrong things; people who create chaos are also seeking to be heard. The question is, how will you leave your mark? I do think we all inherently want to be kind. #goodandevil #good #power #voice

The Psychology of Serial Killers and CEOs
There’s a book that talks about how the psychology of serial killers is similar to highly successful CEOs. Two individuals with similar thinking and habits can achieve such different results. I don’t think of people in terms of good or bad; everyone has the capacity for greatness or to be the meanest person. It’s about what you choose to focus on. If we can focus on being kinder, this brings more goodness to the world. #goodandevil #good

In The World of Social Media: Part 1
In the world of social media we have so many more friends, yet people are feeling lonelier than ever. I think that’s because people treat social media as real life. What’s put on social media is the highlight reel. Everybody feels anxiety and fears, but that’s not what’s brought up. If you use social media as a way of judging where you’re at, it becomes detrimental. #relationship #socialmedia #beinghuman

Doing Significantly More Together
There’s an old story about a horse that’s meant to pull large items. Alone, it pulls around 800 pounds, but two horses pulling in the same direction can pull 2400 pounds. That’s three times more than a single horse. I reference that often. We can do significantly more together. #relationship #partnership

Learning How to Dance With Fear
Seth Godin said that the game of life is not to eliminate fear, but to learn how to dance with the fear. Let yourself feel anxious, but leverage that and use that energy to inspire others. The moment you learn how to dance with the fear is when you’re willing to listen to yourself but can still move forward given the anxiety felt. #anxiety #fear #inspiration

Status From a Personal Versus Marketing View
In my life, I view status as a “to each their own” concept. We did not grow up with a lot of financial means, and I didn’t care about brands. From a marketing perspective, people buy on status because it makes them feel more complete. In marketing, you should sell your products as an “up” in status and make people want to share it with others. #SocialStatus #society #marketing #brands #childhood

How Are You Creating Value?
I used to think it was all about legacy. From a human perspective we want to create transcendence and move people. In the world we operate in, money is a form of leverage and value. If you’re operating on a lack of money, try to think about how much value you’re creating in the world. If you’re creating value, money is another form of that. #money #success #value

A book I would recommend is Don Miguel Ruiz’s The Four Agreements. It goes back to the theme of common sense not always being common practice. Conquering Brain Fog and Low Energy
Another high performance one is getting up every hour. Getting up every hour. The reason people in US and Canada, wherever they are in the world, the reason you're going through brain fog, the reason you are burning out, and there's a dip in energy, is because, not because the coffee's not good. It's not because, you know, maybe there's a part of it, that you didn't get enough sleep, but a lot of times it's because your brain is not getting the proper amount of oxygen and blood flow. And so why you get up every hour is so you can do light breathing exercises. Just some deep breaths. No need to get any crazy. Everybody that's watching this knows how to do a deep breath, right? There's no demonstration here. And just doing some light stretches to get some of that blood flow, right? To break state, and I know a lot of times people are watching this like well I can't do that. Because I'm in the zone, right? Don't worry, you're going to get back into the zone. If you're really in the zone you're going to be able to sit back and you're going to get into zone. Take five minutes. Just literally, what we do, is we have a timer. 55 minutes. Every time the 55 minutes rings, get up, maybe go for a walk, maybe take a five minute break, maybe take a ten minute break, and then we go again. But every time we're on for 55 minutes we just try to focus and do amazing work, and we take that break every hour. And that's how we can do sustained productivity and those are some of the most I think easiest, to implement, but some of the hardest to integrate high performance habits.

How to Feel Like You've Won the Day
One of the productivity hacks that we always tap into is doing the most important thing, the priority thing, first thing in the morning. I literally mean before the day hits, right? Because if you can beat the hardest thing, a lot of times we delay doing the hardest thing because it's hard, because it requires us to focus. It requires us to do these things. What we do is we make up a story that we need to be in the right sitting position. We need to make sure that the temperature of the room is perfect. We need to make sure that we drank exactly one and a half cups of coffees, that we worked out, that we journaled before, that we did the thing. I think that there should be a little bit of a morning routine and everyone has their different thoughts on this, but I really do believe that try to do as minimal as possible in your minimal routine, 'cause you want all the energy to attack the main priority of the day. They did this study a little while ago of when we first wake up. They say the first two hours from literally when you open your eyes to wherever, whatever time it is, the first two, three hours, the brain waves that you're operating with, I think they're called the alpha brain waves. That allows you, you're at your highest productivity at that time. A lot of people don't believe this 'cause they go, "I need my coffee." "I need to travel for work." "I need to catch up on my shows." "I need to catch up on social media." "Then and only then will I do the most important thing." Right, and so they show up later in the day. When you do the most important thing first thing, you feel like you've kind of won the day already.

Sleeping as a Productivity Hack
These are all extremely simple, but I almost can guarantee that everybody who watches this, will not execute on all of them. You shouldn't try to execute on all of them, you should try to pick one and execute on them. So one, is actually... One of the greatest I think productivity hacks is actually getting sleep. It's sleeping. And I know when I say that people are like, oh my god, they like roll their eyes and they're like, this is not about high performance, you're telling me that I need to go to sleep. And it's like well, you have to operate at a high level, you have to treat yourself as an athlete would treat their body. And an athlete knows they have to go to sleep early because they want to wake up early for the work out. Just like a business owner, just like a creator, a writer. Everybody does some of the most important work in the morning. And so before the morning even begins, before when you wake up at 5:00 a.m. or wake up at 6:00 a.m. or wake up at 7:00, whatever time it is that works for you, 'cause there's a lot of discussion on that, you have to be able to get enough hours of sleep. Some people can operate with six or seven, some people they need about eight or nine. So this is a level of context, who are you and what feels good to your body? I think seven or eight hours is highly recommended and it's what we try to do everyday before interviews, before anything that we want to be able to bring our A-game to.

Productivity: Content Versus Context
Productivity is like content versus context. What you’re listening to and reading about is content, but try to think about it in your context. I don’t think there’s one-size-fits-all when it comes to productivity hacks, but those who have found what they love doing can operate with sustained energy throughout the project. #productivity #motivation #purpose #content #context

Honoring The Path That Got You Here
When was the last time you really took the time to just take a few seconds to acknowledge, like, your entire path, just to honor everything that you've done in the last six months, in the last year, in the last three years, to get to where you are, right? In this North American society and just in the modern day world of how fast things are moving, I think we're always looking forward. We're always looking to the next thing. We're always looking at the agenda, the schedule, you know? How do we ten X this? And a lot of times we forget to turn around and honor the path that got us here and honor that we didn't know anything what we were doing five years ago, you know, or maybe you were just starting out 10 years ago, maybe you were just starting out a month ago, right, but I guarantee you, in the last 30 days, you have grown in leaps and bounds. So when was the last time you really acknowledged yourself for that?
